Laminated Glass

Trulite’s laminated glass is producted in-house at one of our 10 manufacturing plants that have the capability. The process encompasses two or more pieces of glass that are permanently bonded together with a interlayer types include poly vinyl buteral (PVB), Sentry Glass (SGP), and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA). Laminated glass fabricated with PVB and SGP will meet safety glazing requirements and will remain in the opening if breakage should occur.

Laminated glass is most commonly used in skylights, overhead glazing, impact resistant glazing, hurricane glazing, bomb & blast resistance, and areas requiring resistance to forcible entry. While elimating almost 99% of the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays, the interlayer can also reduce sound transmission in areas of high traffic or where constant noise is present and needs to be controlled. Heat-treated glass can be laminated together to provide a stronger finished product for the most demanding applications.
